Converted from an original barn this cottage is an ideal holiday retreat for families and friends. Large windows in place of the original barn doors at both the front and back provides plenty of natural light while voiles on the windows ensure privacy. The front door opens into an open plan living area with high open ceilings, a wood burning stove and a galleried balcony leading to the bedrooms. The lounge area with 2 large sofas (one a sofabed) and armchair provide plenty of room to relax. A freeview television, video and dvd player together with a gamecube console, a selection of dvds, videos and board games are also provided. The floors downstairs are tiled and laminate flooring. The dining area has a large table and chairs for 6. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and microwave oven. The kitchen looks out over the gardens where a large patio and lawn area provides plenty of space to sit and enjoy a BBQ in the warm weather.
There is a downstairs bathroom with toilet, sink and shower over a bath and a separate cupboard housing the washing machine. The bedrooms upstairs are reached via a wooden staircase. The cottage has a twin room and bunk room with high ceilings and exposed beams showing its original character. They have velux windows in the roof with blinds. The double room has exposed beams and a large window partially looking over the garden and fields.The en suite has a shower cubicle, sink and toilet. Quality bedlinen and fluffy white towels are provided. Upstairs there are laminate floors throughout. Hot water and heating is available from a gas fired boiler controlled from within the cottage
